#BAREVisuals

Writing has been my way of bringing to life the representations of my heart in words and the pictures painted by words. Video/Film content creation has expanded that beyond my imagination and capabilities. I'm excited to add this type of content to the #BARE Experience. Click on the pics below to see and feel the words from my book, BARE, The Selected Works.
Featured Poem - Read, Black Girl, Read

Read, Black girl, Read

Read between and above
Read through the lines
Read most, if not all the time
Read the fine print
Read before you spin opinions,
fierce and unrelenting
Read your label
It ain't what you thought
Read, Black girl, Read
too much sugar, too much salt
Read the owner's manual of
all that shit you bought
Read all that you sign
Read that contract, rent to own
The terms on that balloon loan
Read your Bible;
Preacher man is not voice to text

Read your email - straight and
monotone
Boss man is not upset...
Ms. Lady ain't brash
Yo mouth gone write
a check yo ass can't cash
Read more than you watch
Read more than you scroll
Black girl read more than you troll
Save more than you buy
Try more than you quit
Do more than you try
Living on the surface hurts us
Dig deeper into the subject; scuba dive
Nobody will serve you the truth you seek
Read his results before you part your thighs
Kill your appetite for lies
and Rise, Black Girl,
Rise.
